A Sit Down With Countdown’s Joe Dinicol

Introducing Fitz

At the end of episode 10 Derek Haas opens up a new mission via our introduction to Ryan Fitzgerald (Fitz). From the United States Secret Service (USSS) west coast office, Fitz monitors the tip/threat line known as the “muzzle pile.” From this “bottom of the barrel” list of civilian calls and complaints he finds a threat worth looking into. The caller is a woman named Patricia Perez.

Fitz drives out to Sugarloaf to a place called Hammerhead Cabins and finds Patricia Perez murdered. Along with enough suspicious materials to elevate this call to “credible threat” status, this immediately gets Nathan Blythe summoned to reassemble his task force to discover and neutralize the threat. Operation Armor is born.

Fitz a Hit with Countdown Fans

Countdown fans have come to love every member of the task force, so naturally when the character of Fitz joined the team, that love just extended with open arms, to the task forces’ newest addition.

I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did. Joe was so gracious to share his time, stories and history with us all. I especially love what he shared about working on the set of Countdown.
